Preliminary Name Clearance

Preliminary name searches should only be conducted for jurisdictions such as Alberta and Ontario where it is not required to submit a full NUANS report for trade names, business names, sole proprietorship names and partnership names. If you are incorporating a company you should purchase the full NUANS report and we will do preliminary name searches prior to order that full search for you.

There is no guarantee that a preliminary name search will determine the availability of a name however the odds of acceptance are increased by 90% when performed by an experienced search house. When you order a name search report a pre-clearance of the name will be done within the same day you order it and in most cases immediately.
